Hello! This is a news update from BK GES! Last December 7, 2021 we held a meeting with the Ministry of Health to establish a plan to improve nursing education policies in the Republic of Kyrgyz. The Kyrgyz Ministry of Health, BK GES team, KSMA, Medical College Association, KSMI, Nursing Professional Association, and SDC MER team attended here. The BK GES team, conducting a nursing education improvement project in Kyrgyz, has collected opinions from stakeholders such as nurses and nursing educators to assess the optimal strategies to improve nursing education is. We shared the results and policy suggestions. Another team, the SDC MER, also shared the progress and plans for improving nursing education. All participants discussed the direction of establishing the optimal policy for the health promotion of the Kyrgyz people by strengthening the competencies of Kyrgyz nurses.
