Kyung Hee University Leading University Project for International Cooperation (Bright Kyrgyzstan – LUPIC; Director Professor Hyunsook Shin) project group received a certificate of appreciation from the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy (KSMA) in celebration of KSMA’s 85th anniversary.
KSMA, a leading institution in
healthcare education in the Kyrgyz Republic, has been at the forefront of
producing healthcare professionals with exceptional practical and research
capabilities. The relationship between Bright Kyrgyzstan and KSMA began in 2017
through a community-based child health promotion project in migrant areas of
the Kyrgyz Republic. KSMA participated as an advisory committee member in this
project, collaborating to establish a child health promotion service system and
enhance the capabilities of healthcare personnel and community participation. From
2019 to 2021, the two institutions worked together on a global education
support project to improve nursing education. This involved developing a master
plan, enhancing practical training, and formulating policy improvements for
nursing education to ensure the training of competent healthcare professionals.
Since 2022, they have been collaborating on the BK-LUPIC project to establish
an advanced nursing education model and strengthen community infection response
capabilities in the Kyrgyz Republic. This project is set to continue until
2029.
In the certificate of appreciation, KSMA expressed, “We
deeply appreciate your active cooperation in organizing the 85th-anniversary
celebration of our university. We highly value your contributions to the
advancement of medical education and science.” KSMA extended its gratitude for
the longstanding collaboration and support from Bright Kyrgyzstan.
Additionally, Kim Jongbok, Vice President for External
Affairs at Kyung Hee University, sent a congratulatory video message
celebrating KSMA’s 85th anniversary and expressing hopes for continued
cooperation and development between Kyung Hee University and KSMA. KSMA
President Kudaibergenova Indira responded with gratitude and a reciprocal
congratulatory message.
This collaboration between Kyung Hee University and KSMA
has significantly contributed to the advancement of medical education and
healthcare systems in both countries. We look forward to maintaining and
further developing this cooperative relationship in the future.
