International Nurses Day 2024
Hello, this is the BK-LUPIC team.Today is International Nurses Day.International Nurses Day is designated to honor the contributions of nurses in society on May 12th, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, a British nurse.Dr. Pamela Cipriano, the president of the International Council of Nurses (ICN), has chosen the theme \'Our Nurses, Our Future, the Economic Power of Care\' for International Nurses Day 2024 (IND). This theme was selected to highlight the importance of nurses and raise awareness about the financial constraints and social undervaluation they face, emphasizing that strategic support for nursing can bring socio-economic benefits.Nurses are essential workers of the healthcare team, providing care, advocacy, and support to patients, families, and communities. They contribute to the health and well-being of populations worldwide with their expertise and dedication, especially at the forefront of public health activities including disease prevention, health promotion, and community service programs.Furthermore, nurses collaborate with other healthcare professionals, community organizations, and policymakers to address health disparities and strengthen healthcare accessibility, contributing to overall social welfare. Active support is needed to enhance distinctive public health plans tailored to local diverse characteristics and demands, and to timely respond to new health threats and crises. We recognize that global health threats are increasing due to conflicts, climate crises, and financial instability, and we must urge a shift in perspective and policy based on the lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic.BK-LUPIC sends eternal gratitude to the everyday heroes, the nurses around the world who share their hearts and provide treatment. You are the protectors who keep us safe, and angels who convey bright hope even through heavy trials. On International Nurses Day, we honor your medical innovations and care and look forward to continuing our partnership with you.

[Notice] 2022 year in review
As the year comes to an end, we want to take a moment to reflect on all that we\'ve accomplished this year. It\'s been an exciting and meaningful year for BK-LUPIC as we\'ve worked hard to bring reforms in nursing education, infection prevention and control, and healthcare in Kyrgyzstan. Our team, in collaboration with the TFT of KSMA, has strengthened our internal competencies, engaged with key stakeholders such as the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education and other international agencies, and actively listened to the voices of nurses. Through this approach, we tried to advocate for reforms and establish a policy foundation for introducing a bachelor\'s degree in nursing in Kyrgyzstan and develop a competency-based, high-quality nursing curriculum. We also initiated a support project for Kyrgyzstan\'s healthcare information system recognizing the potential for e-health technology to enhance the quality and accessibility of healthcare in the country. As we look ahead to the new year, we\'re excited to continue our work and make a positive impact on nursing education, infection response, and healthcare in Kyrgyzstan. We look forward to sharing more updates with you in the coming months. Thank you for being a part of our journey!
