신현숙 교수(경희대학교 간호과학대학 간호학과)는 지난 1월 26일 키르기즈 공화국 국립 의과대학(총장 Kudaibergenova I.O., 이하 KSMA) 총장단에 \"The Merit of KSMA!” (Memorable Medal) 훈장을 수여 받았다. KSMA 총장 Kudaibergenova Indira는 이 날 간호학 학사 교육과정 운영 총장단 회의와 함께 BK-LUPIC 팀과 신현숙 교수 덕분에 간호학학사과정 도입을 빠르게 진행할 수 있었다며 고마움을 표시했다. 특히, 키르기즈 공화국 협력 사업의 가치와 성과를 높이는데 BK-LUPIC 팀의 키르기즈스탄에 대한 깊은 이해를 바탕으로 한 체계적인 접근이 주효했음을 꼽았다. 신현숙 교수는 2014년부터 키르기즈 공화국으로의 국제협력사업을 진행하고 있으며 국제 표준의 선진화된 간호 교육을 키르기즈 공화국에 도입하는 프로젝트인 BK-LUPIC 팀의 단장을 2022년 창설부터 역임하고 있다.
